Onsite Activities

Archery - Try your hand at following Robin Hood and his men and get a bull’s eye. We have both indoor and outdoor ranges, so whatever the weather Archery is possible.

Backwoods Cooking - Our permanent area allow you to try a reflector fire or camp oven etc.

Banqueting Hall - Our Great Hall has proved a brilliant location for meals for many. The hall doubles up as a wet weather hall and indoor games hall.

Bat Walk - Take a walk on the wild side and let’s see what we can find at dusk. Our bat detector will help us hear who’s around.

Campfire Circles - Two campfire Circles with loads of seating. Try the Meggernie Yell .

Circus Skills - Try your hand at plate spinning or balancing on a unicycle etc.

Community Service Projects - Join us to take care of our local area for the benefit of everyone. Taking care of the local graveyard, clearing ditches or retrieving the wood brought up the river banks when the river’s in spate are just some of the tasks we have to do.

Environmental Study - The area is rich in flora and fauna not to mention clearly seen features of glaciation and man’s impact on the landscape.

Foxes Den Bivvi - Unique turfed five-person shelter provides overnight accommodation with a difference. Look up at the stars while lying in bed. Chilling out, Story telling are just some of it’s many other uses.

Frisbee Golf - A choice of 9 or 18 holes awaits you on our course. You choose the route.

Grass Sledging - An activity for all ages For the most thrilling ride the secret is not to apply the brakes too soon nor too late ! Possibly the most fun you can have on sledges without snow..

Guided Estate Walks - We’ll help you explore Meggernie Estate, learn a little about the Glen’s inhabitants old and new.

Nightline - Do you trust your buddies enough to guide you around our trail.

Orienteering - Several courses allow a choice of routes.

Pioneering - Pioneering provides a great opportunity to develop group work skills using the whole group's powers of initiative and imagination. Using your knots and lashings skills, work as a team to create big or small pioneering projects, from rope bridges to dining shelters..

Pond Dipping - Our waterways are teeming with life. What will you find?
